The 10:30 service is the main English-speaking service at Trinity on the Lord's Day. We currently average 40 in attendance. On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate Holy Communion together. Every other Sunday, we have what we call Morning Prayer -- a word-centered service that is built around expository preaching, prayer, and praise. It is relaxed yet reverent, traditional yet filled with contemporary elements.
Our music is blended -- taking the best of traditional hymnody and "blending in" the best of contemporary hymnody. This summer, our music team includes team members on the organ, piano, lead guitar, bass guitar, bongos, and shakers, along with team singers. They don't think of themselves as showmen with a show, but as ministers with a ministry -- the ministry of helping people sing praise to God.
Here's what one Vestry member has to say: "We gather on Sunday mornings at 10:30 to worship God in spirit and in truth. We do this by hearing the truth that God has revealed in the Bible and, by his help, responding to that truth with mind, heart, and voice. We read the Bible and hear it explained so that its truth is understood, seen in its beauty, and applied to life. In response to the good news of what Jesus has done as our Savior and Lord, we confess our sins, praise God with songs that instruct our minds and stir our hearts, and pray for the coming of his kingdom here and to the ends of the earth."
